Biography

Tony Kenny has thrilled audiences all over the world with his exceptional talent, entertaining over two milion people, including a 30-city tour of the United States in 2001 where he had the special honor of singing the American national anthem at the 2001 Buffalo Bills/Miami Dolphins game.

Also in July, 2001 Tony was honored at a special reception by Irish President Mary MacAlesse. And on St. Patrick's Day 1995.

Tony was invited to sing at the White House in Washington, D.C. for then President Bill Clinton. Tony began his career as the star of the internationally acclaimed stage musicals, "Jesus Christ Superstar", and "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat." Critics described his performances as both "powerful and compelling."

After receiving dozens of awards for his stage and television performances, Tony turned his beautiful voice and theatrical talent to the world of Irish music when he joined the cast of the world famous Jurys Irish Cabaret in Dublin,which recently won Irelands National Entertainment Awards "Show of the Year" honors..

Tony Kenny is an icon in the world of Irish music, having added three of the Irish music industry's most prestigious awards to his resume: the Performing Artists Trust Society Annual Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Performing Arts,Entertainer of the Year and Irelands Industry Music Hall of Fame Award, received in October of 2008. As a recording artist, Tony has achieved phenomenal success. His fourteen recordings have been enjoyed on both sides of the Atlantic.

His release of "The Very Best of Tony Kenny's Ireland" achieved Platinum Disc status. Tony's latest CD, "The Collection." was received very well on the recent tour. The mix of contemporary, and irish music will definately make it another hit for Tony's collection.

The release of "Tony Kenny Live in Branson" DVD was received so well, that Tony was booked for an encore engagement in Branson, MO in the fall of 2005. Tony Kenny takes his show on the road every year, touring the United States in the fall and spring. Along with a carefully selected cast of all-star performers, he entertains American audiences in their home cities, stopping at major concert halls along the way. Tony's powerfully expressive delivery and his dynamic stage presence, creates magic at his live performances. Tony also performs on cruises and for special events. .
